Contact IslandTAT
Have questions about Polynesian tattoos, our artists, or the booking process? We'd love to hear from you.
Whether you're ready to start a project, need guidance on preparing for your session, or want to learn more about our freehand approach, we're here to help. If you already know what you want, request a booking directly — it's the fastest path to getting on the schedule.
Fastest Way to Reach Us
The single fastest way to connect with IslandTAT is through our booking request form. Every submission is reviewed personally by our team, and it gives us everything we need to evaluate your project and respond with real information — not a generic auto-reply.
Social media DMs are great for saying hello, but they're not ideal for booking requests, pricing questions, or detailed project descriptions. Those messages get buried, and we can't guarantee they'll be seen in time. Use the project request form or the contact form on this page — both feed directly into our workflow so nothing gets missed.
Response Times & What to Expect
We read and reply to every form submission and email in the order they arrive. During peak seasons — summer and the weeks before major holidays — a reply can take longer.
If you haven't heard back, check your spam folder first, then feel free to resubmit. We respect your time, and we ask the same in return — our artists dedicate focused hours to client work, so response windows exist to protect the quality of every session and every conversation. Please note this is separate from our cancellation policy, which asks for 48 hours' notice before a booked appointment.
What to Include in Your Message
The more detail you provide upfront, the faster and more useful our response will be. If you're reaching out about a tattoo project, try to include:
- Body area and size — shoulder cap, full sleeve, calf wrap, chest panel, etc.
- Timeframe — when you'd like to start, any travel dates or deadlines
- Reference inspiration — photos, screenshots, or links to work you admire (from our portfolio or elsewhere)
- Story or themes — heritage, family, personal milestones, symbols that matter to you
- Travel status — whether you're local to San Diego or flying in for sessions
Not sure what to include? Our Start Your Tattoo Project page walks you through the process step by step.
What We Can't Answer via Contact Form
We want to be upfront about what requires a consultation versus what we can handle over email:
- Exact pricing without a consult — every Polynesian tattoo is custom, so estimates require understanding your full vision
- Copying another artist's tattoo — we create original compositions rooted in Polynesian tradition, not replicas
- Urgent medical questions — if you have concerns about healing or a reaction, contact a medical professional immediately; see our aftercare guide for general guidance
