    Project Objective

This arm sleeve flows with cohesive artistry, a second skin. Intricate Polynesian motifs evoke strength, lineage, and protection. Each line rendered freehand by IslandTAT in San Diego, embodying spirit.

    Composition & Anatomical Flow

A full sleeve is composed as one continuous wrap. Bands are set so they read correctly with the arm at rest and in motion, transitions are placed at the deltoid, the outside of the bicep and the elbow so the pattern turns with the limb rather than breaking across it, and negative space is held open along the inner arm where skin moves most.

    The Freehand Method

Every tattoo at IslandTAT is designed freehand on the body — no stencils, no transfers. This body-flow design approach ensures the composition follows natural muscle contours and bone structure, producing work that looks powerful from every angle. The result is a tattoo that belongs to the wearer's body, not just sits on it. This piece was composed by Tanner Magbanua.
