Project Objective
This forearm piece flows with a Marquesan-inspired, arrow-like composition. It evokes a potent connection to heritage and protection through powerful, angular motifs. This freehand work by a San Diego IslandTAT artist honors a unique personal journey.
Composition & Anatomical Flow
A forearm composition follows the twist of the arm. Structure is set so the pattern stays continuous as the wrist rotates, with the heavier work on the outer forearm and lighter spacing toward the wrist.

The Freehand Method
Every tattoo at IslandTAT is designed freehand on the body — no stencils, no transfers. This body-flow design approach ensures the composition follows natural muscle contours and bone structure, producing work that looks powerful from every angle. The result is a tattoo that belongs to the wearer's body, not just sits on it. This piece was composed by Tanner Magbanua.
