Why These Projects

These are the projects that show the most of how the studio works: large enough to require a full composition rather than a single motif, and documented well enough to be examined closely.

• Scale — full sleeves, chest panels, back pieces and leg compositions built across multiple sessions.
• Body flow — the design is drawn freehand on the body so bands follow muscle and joint lines instead of sitting flat on them.
• Composition — motif panels, dividing lines and negative space are planned as one whole, not assembled piece by piece.
• Placement — where a section starts and stops is decided by the body's own borders: deltoid, ribcage, knee, wrist.
